There are a few points to remember when
thinking about setting up a word processing operation.
Decide
what it is that you want your word processing system for. Do you want it for
your typing workload or do you want it to cater for information retrieval,
accounts processing.
Take typing stuff along with demonstrations
of possible word processing systems. Your typist will usually know more about
your organisation’s typing than consultants.
Find out exactly
what software comes with the word processing system and at what price. Software
can be expensive and may not always do exactly what you thought it would.
