People perceive wealth in many
different ways. In one sense, to be moneyed is to be wealthy - the more money
people have, the more successful they are, and the more material possessions
they have to show for it.
For many, personal wealth cannot be measured in
monetary terms, but in terms of the emotional and physical well-being, they
experience through satisfaction derived from their everyday lives. Riches such
as strong friendships, a good family life and recognition of worth in the home,
the community and/or at work, more than compensate for deficiencies in monetary
wealth.
